Accountancy firm hosts free update for business finance professionals

Business advisory firm HWB Chartered Accountants is hosting a breakfast time Technical Update Seminar for finance professionals.
The free event on Tuesday June 3 at the Axis Conference Centre on Southampton Science Park in Chilworth is designed for finance directors, financial controllers and bookkeepers of regional businesses.
HWB Chartered Accountants Director Gary Brown, pictured left, and Business Adviser Alan Davies, right, will be on hand to offer updates on key issues.
Gary said: “Financial professionals in organisations will know that the end of year preparation can be a particularly busy time.
“Therefore, we would like to assist them in what to expect and the key things they need to know in order to prepare for and understand the requirements for businesses and organisations.”
The event will cover FRS102 financial reporting amendments from January 2026, changes to company size limits and audit exemption, updated Financial Reporting Council (FRC) guidance on going concern reporting, and a tax technical update.
Coffee and breakfast rolls will be served from 8am with the presentation starting at 8.30am and lasting approximately one hour.
