Ambition & Vision For Dorset

Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership hosts inaugural business conference.

Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership’s inaugural business conference will take place on Friday 13 April 2018 at Bournemouth University.

The conference, expected to bring together over 100 of the region’s key businesses, will address the business opportunities and issues facing the region and outline Dorset LEP’s ambition and vision for Dorset.

Held in association with the Dorset Business Alliance, speakers include Jim Stewart – chair of Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership, Nigel Jump – Professor of Regional Economic Development at Bournemouth University, Conor Burns MP and Ian Girling – chief executive of Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Jim Stewart, chair of Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership said:

Dorset is at an exciting stage of economic development and change.  Our business conference provides the chance to debate local priorities, issues, asset capitalisation, productivity and outlook for the region.  We want to hear from businesses from across the county – large or small, new or established – about the key challenges and opportunities they face. We want to capture their views on shaping Dorset’s future and how we can improve our support to help grow the local economy.

“Our free conference is set to be a lively and stimulating business event – I encourage Dorset’s businesses to attend.”

Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership’s business conference: ‘Ambition & Vision’ takes place on Friday 13 April, 8–10.30am at Bournemouth University Talbot Campus.  Businesses and interested parties can register for Dorset LEP’s free business conference via dorsetlep.co.uk
