Dorset Business Angels host event to educate, inform and attract new investors
Dorset Business Angels (DBA) are hosting an event to educate, inform and attract new investors to the possibilities and opportunities of Angel investment.
A lead Dorset Business Angel investor Max Wright advised, “We are hoping to attract individuals who might not have been involved in entrepreneurial investments before but who are keen to learn more about the considerable local investor opportunities that arise within Dorset and beyond. We would also to be keen to welcome seasoned investors to come along and meet other members.
“The event will include brief talks from our sponsors: a presentation from Ellis Jones Solicitors around the legalities of Angel investment, Saffery Champness Chartered Accounts will present on the considerable SEIS & EIS tax benefits of Angel investment and finally Investec Wealth will discuss how to maximise your investment.
“I will also be talking personally about my own experiences over the years as a Dorset Business Angel. My involvement in DBA has been an incredibly enjoyable experience and I’ve made some extremely interesting and profitable investments over the years, as well as some that haven’t worked out! I’ve particularly enjoyed working with the other DBA members. Amongst us we have a wealth of experience and diverse backgrounds.”
