Art can have a significant positive impact on mood and emotional wellbeing.
Vibrant colours and uplifting scenes can bring about feelings of joy and calmness. New perspectives raise creativity. These are of course aspects most businesses want to encourage in their teams. Offer these to customers and they too may be delighted. And why would you not want these aspects in your home?
ARt-Zag’s ‘Highlights’ collection of paintings focuses new attention on some of the finest attractions Dorset has to offer. Sandbanks, Chesil Beach, Corfe Castle, Old Harry Rocks to call-out a few. Aren’t we lucky to live or visit here!
There have been many excellent paintings of such fantastic natural and man-made icons and I hope there will be many more, yet the ‘Highlights’ collection from ARt-Zag is just a little different. Bright fluorescent arancio colourways truly highlight and bring added focus to Dorset’s very finest jewels. They invite you to explore a little further the richness and depth of what you see. Arancio is a form of orange –the colour of enthusiasm and excitement, one associated with joy, happiness, creativity, and fascination. It denotes warmth, determination, encouragement, and transition. It’s powerful.
Surrounding this vibrant orange to make it stand out even more, simplified seascapes, rock formations and tapestries of human life are used. Graphical delineation helps define patterns in the landscape than can easily go unnoticed and yet are vital to supporting the leading attraction. This example shows Durdle Door, a natural arch, and perhaps the royalty of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. It has been formed over millions of years of construction, conflict, destruction and crafting by sea, weather and the earths pressures.
More recently it’s been used for films e.g. ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’, for music videos, e.g. Tears for Fears ‘Shout’ and even for the regeneration of Doctor Who! A lively past, present and no doubt future.
Today, walk down, relax on the shingle beach, be calmed by the water and mesmerised by this mighty rock. Created with brushes and palette knives, the tone of this painting, with its fluorescent orange, changes as daylight shines and dips. What appears a simple view has true character – just like the real thing.
