As a GU6 Dorset Champion you have a vital role in committing to support other business leaders to manage their wellbeing.   As a Champion you will be expected to offer your time for free – and without incentive or ambition for an sort of business gain – to those who need help.  This could be acting as sounding board or a friendly ear at an event or at the end of the phone, or a more in-depth support through your shared experiences.

Our Champions can be identfied by their GU6 badges at events, We expect Champions to perform this role with commitment and diligence, attending events and following the agreed code of conduct.

Champions are not counsellors, coaches or mental health professionals (unless this is already part of their job).  Instead, Champions offer informal, unstructured support  – having your back.

All Champions are asked for to complete  a Mental Health qualification (self-funded) before taking on this role.

To apply, please complete the form below and we will be in touch.

GU6 Events and how to get involved

We have hosted a number of events featuring a diverse array of speakers and we always receive fantastic feedback. We like to ensure there is an interactive element to these events providing a great opportunity for people to come together and discuss their experiences.
