Bonnie and Graham join Trethowans Solicitors in Dorset as Senior Associates

Two new recruits have joined Trethowans Solicitors in Dorset as Senior Associates. They will be based across Trethowans’ offices in Bournemouth and Poole.

Graham McLean joins the Commercial Litigation team as part of the growth of the Contentious Trusts and Probate offering, dealing with disputes about the validity and effect of wills, the administration of estates and trusts, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975, disputes between property co-owners, including claims under the Trusts of Land & Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and contested Court of Protection matters.

Graham said: “Disputes about wills, trust estates and inheritance claims often involve family and loved ones going through a difficult time following a bereavement. I enjoy the variety of the work involved and helping families to reach the best resolution.”

“I was attracted to Trethowans because it has a fantastic reputation and the wider Litigation and Private Client teams have a wide breadth of expertise and experience. The fact that Trethowans acts for such a wide range of clients in different circumstances, including charities, means the work we do is diverse and I enjoy the challenge of helping our clients to resolve their disputes”.

“I am looking forward to working with the fantastic team at Trethowans and I am sure that we will continue to develop our reputation as a leader in our field across the South and nationally.”

Bonnie Ward joins the Private Client team and advised, “It is an exciting time to be joining Trethowans, during a period of strong growth. I have 12 years’ experience advising across a wide range of Private Client issues, in particular, lifetime trusts, succession and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals. I look forward to using this experience to contribute towards the team’s success and the firm’s vision for the future.”
