“Get fit, network and get out the house!”
BBR is a new networking group that came from the realisation that when you’re running you have plenty of time to talk with your fellow runners.
Andrew Rumsey, a Dorset based insolvency practitioner, joined the Littledown Harriers Running Club in around 2016 having re-discovered his joy of running a couple of years earlier, when taking part in Parkrun with his then 7 year old son.
Fast forward a few years and the idea of a running networking group was beginning to form whilst he faced the restrictions placed upon us all by Covid-19. Having raised the idea with a number of friends & contacts, and tired of waiting for the ‘right time’ to start, the Bournemouth Business Runners Facebook page was created in late November 2020 and Andrew has been busy looking for members ever since.

If I can encourage others to get out more often and combine that with the opportunity for local business people to have time to talk with each other, in an informal environment which widens there circle of contacts, all the better!”

I hope Bournemouth Business Runners will complement these groups by providing an alternative option for those who want to meet likeminded people in the business community.”
Once the Lockdown restrictions are lifted and it is safe to meet in groups, Bournemouth Business Runners plans to host weekly runs.
