Bournemouth & Poole College launch two new apprenticeships with huge national employers

The College & Volvo Penta launch new marine engineering apprenticeship programme 
Bournemouth & Poole College are proud to announce a brand new apprenticeship programme with leading marine employer Volvo Penta. Dealerships across England, Wales and Scotland will offer a bespoke marine engineering apprenticeship incorporates block release.

Volvo Penta are particularly excited about this new apprenticeship, and said, “From working with the latest technology to our highly skilled staff, we are committed to giving you the best step forward into the future.  Our dedicated 4-year programme has been designed to meet the ever-changing needs of a very diverse marine industry.  The programme covers all aspects of repair & maintenance with a focus on electronics, diagnosis & computer management systems.  At our training facility in Volvo Penta HQ and with our training partner Bournemouth & Poole College we invest in the latest engines and diagnostic equipment. Along with constant professional development of our training team we ensure you get the highest quality learning in the marine industry.

Bournemouth & Poole College partner with Newsquest to offer Journalism apprenticeships 
Bournemouth & Poole College are excited to announce our recent partnership with Newsquest, one of the largest regional news publishers in the UK. The College are working in conjunction with the Bournemouth University to launch a Level 5 Journalism Apprenticeship. The College are supporting Newquest with the recruitment of their apprentices which covers 5 different locations across the UK: Weymouth, Swindon, Reading, Bolton and Carlisle. This apprenticeship lasts approximately 18 months and is perfect for those are curious about their community, have a tenacious mind and the hunger to seek out the next big story! All apprentices will receive the NCTJ industry gold standard tuition for their diploma in journalism with on the job training mixed with boot camps at the Bournemouth University. By the end of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have all the skills necessary to publish stories across a range of platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for budding journalists to kick start their career in journalism.
