Bournemouth & Poole College set to inspire with the launch of CRE8 Fest
This month, Bournemouth and Poole College is set to host its first-ever annual CRE8 Fest, a free two-day creative industry festival at its Lansdowne campus to showcase the emerging talent of its artistic course students.
CRE8 Fest will take place on Tuesday 20th June, between 11am and 8:30pm, and Wednesday 21st June, between 9am and 2pm, and features an array of work and performances from students across the College’s creative Further Education, Higher Education, and hobby courses. Visitors will have the opportunity to view work from a broad range of disciplines; from performing arts to photography; fine art to fashion; and from music to graphic design.
Phillip Sayles, Principal at Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “There will be some amazing creative work on display. We’re incredibly proud of every student that passes through Bournemouth and Poole College. The diversity of skillsets, passions, and styles that are evident throughout the year keeps us inspired and it’s exciting to finally have them all available in one place for the public to view.
“We believe in giving young people with a passion for the creative arts a platform as it inspires others to follow suit. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to the galleries and shows and giving them an opportunity to really engage with top emerging talent. It’s also a brilliant way for prospective students to get a taste of what the courses have to offer.”
The festival will also celebrate its graduating students by hosting a prize-giving ceremony on the first day of the event at 7.30pm for invited guests.
The College runs courses for students looking to explore creative industries and runs multiple competitions and events throughout the year to celebrate the students’ work.
