Bournemouth & Poole College is hosting an open event on Thursday May 11, in partnership with local mental health charity Dorset Mind, to showcase its portfolio of courses which now include new T Level study options.
The event will take place from 4pm to 7pm at the Lansdowne in Bournemouth and North Road in Poole sites. New T Level courses in education and childcare as well as digital and computing will be available from September and prospective students will have the opportunity to find out more about these latest set of qualifications alongside the College’s current study options.
Visitors can explore the facilities, find out more about the students’ union, meet the College’s tutors, discover how they can take the next step towards their chosen career paths, as well as apply for a course during the event. Information will be provided on the range of apprenticeships available, as well as full-time, part-time, and degree-level courses, to help people of all ages achieve their dream career, or progress further in their current role.
Phil Sayles, Principal at Bournemouth & Poole College, says: “We look forward to welcoming prospective students and their families to learn about our academic programmes and student support services. This will be the first time that prospective students have had the opportunity to submit an application for their chosen course at one of our open events, and gain advice if needed while doing so.”
Phil adds: “We’re working in partnership with Dorset Mind on our May open event and will also have our wellbeing teams on site to provide free advice on preparing for forthcoming exams as well as highlight what resources and support are available to help build resilience, manage difficult emotions and live a mentally healthy life.”
