Darren Northeast PR, one of the leading PR agencies on the South Coast, is celebrating its stellar success at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards, coming home with two gold and three silver awards, after being nominated in an incredible five categories.
The multi award-winning agency brought home Gold in the Best Long-Term Client Care Award and the Young Communicator of the Year Award at the glittering ceremony for the PRide Awards for the South of England and Channel Islands, held at The Double Tree Hilton Hotel, in Bristol City Centre.
DNPR also won Silver awards in the Best Long-Term Campaign category, the Travel, Leisure or Tourism category, and the Healthcare and/or Wellbeing Campaign category.
DNPR Managing Director and CIPR Fellow Darren Northeast said:
“We are elated to return from these prestigious industry awards, which celebrate excellence in PR across the South, with not one, but five awards – including two Golds. Our small but mighty agency continues to pack a powerful PR punch, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with much bigger teams all vying for recognition at these awards.
“I am exceptionally proud of the team – including Jordan Hooker, a worthy winner of the Young Communicator of the Year Award and a huge asset to DNPR. Together, we consistently achieve outstanding results and these awards speak volumes about our collective expertise, creative ingenuity and commitment to our clients.
“We’re feeling pretty amazing right now, but we never rest on our laurels! We’re even more determined to keep working hard and keep delivering, week after week.”
The PRide Awards are the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ leading regional PR awards, celebrating the work of PR professionals across nine UK regions and nations. They’re open to in-house teams, PR agencies and independent practitioners, with categories recognising campaigns, projects, and people.
DNPR’s Senior PR Account Manager Jordan Hooker won Gold in the Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year Award, showcasing her exceptional performance as a newcomer to the industry.
Jordan has had an incredible two years with the company, starting out on a student placement, before becoming a full-time member of staff. Her strong organisational and communication skills, and prowess across social media, blogs and press releases, saw her progress to Senior PR Account Manager, overseeing some of our client’s biggest projects.
Over the past six months, following the departure of one of the company directors, Jordan has stepped up to take on much of the operational management side of the business too, absorbing a multitude of additional responsibilities without a break in her stride.
Jordan said:
“I am so beyond proud of my team for what we accomplished here. We went through a lot of changes in a short space of time but these awards show that we remained unphased and continued to deliver nothing but amazing results to our clients!
“When Darren first said he wanted to put me forward for the Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year Award, I was a little unsure, but walking away with the gold award has given me a new-found sense of pride and confidence in myself that I never knew I had.
“These awards were only made possible thanks to our amazing team’s constant support, hard work, dedication and I am so proud of them for what we have achieved here! I am filled with pride and cannot wait to celebrate these five amazing accomplishments with them all.
The win in the Best Long-Term Client Care Award is testament to DNPR’s support for a national client in the social care sector. The strong working partnership developed over years has seen the DNPR provide endless guidance and support, attend board meetings, events, and shape and enhance both internal and external messaging.
DNPR’s Silver in the Best Long-Term Campaign Award recognised the company’s extensive work on for a client in the tourism industry over a three-year period, with an impactful campaign aimed at elevating the profile of the client and their business, increasing footfall and attracting a broader demographic of visitors.
The Travel, Leisure or Tourism Award Silver Award relates to DNPR’s creative and innovative campaign promoting their client’s industry-leading commitment to accessibility, capturing interest across the tourism and hospitality sector and beyond.
And DNPR’s Silver in the Healthcare and/or Wellbeing Award reflects the team’s successful efforts to raise national awareness for a client, attracting new audiences from across the country to visit their location in Bournemouth. The agency’s meticulous research and planning over a six-month period ensured the client received the desired exposure.
