Bournemouth’s Travel Shop Opened

Laurence Batlle, the Chief Executive Officer of public transport key player RATP Dev, visited Bournemouth to open Yellow Buses’ new Travel Shop.

The French-headquartered company operates and maintains urban transportation systems in 14 countries on four continents, and owns Yellow Buses.

Laurence also had a tour of the depot and took the opportunity on her trip to meet and chat with Yellow Buses’ drivers.

The travel shop is a focal point and transport hub with staff on-hand to help passengers and talk them through the latest technology.

The public can buy tickets and passes, not only for Yellow Buses but National Express as well.

With Yellow Buses’ mascot Buster Bear and its MD David Squire looking on, Laurence cut the ribbon at the refurbished shop in the town centre.

Laurence, who was accompanied by Tim Jackson, CEO of RATP Dev in the UK, said: “It gives me great pleasure to visit Bournemouth again and to open the new travel shop.

“Staff have all the information at their fingertips and can assist passengers with the new technology Yellow Buses are bringing in.

“This is the latest step in Yellow Buses’ quest to provide the best passenger experience, something I am personally committed to across all of RATP Dev’s subsidiaries.”

David Squire said: “It was a pleasure to host Laurence and show her around the depot and our town centre control and new travel shop.

“The new management team has been in place for six months but this is only the start in making Yellow Buses a best-in-class service for our passengers.”
