Bournemouth’s Unique Hotel for Cancer Patients Receives National Recognition

The Grove Hotel in Bournemouth has been honoured with the prestigious HotelsCombined, Recognition of Excellence Award 2017.
Following an extensive survey on hotels in the UK, The Grove Hotel has been awarded the HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence Award 2017. Situated on Bournemouth’s East Cliff, The Grove Hotel is a unique holiday retreat for people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Covering all types of accommodation providers within the UK, the HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence survey gathers data from millions of guest reviews. Hotels are selected for the excellence of their customer service and must have over 50 certified customer reviews. Prior to the award, HotelsCombined also took into consideration the way the staff at The Grove Hotel answered their communication team, this demonstrated their commitment to providing quick assistance.
Boasting a high satisfaction rating amongst guests and travel industry experts, The Grove had over 133 reviews with an impressive rating of 10 out of 10. Acknowledged by HotelsCombined, The Grove Hotel has now been officially recognised as one of the best hotels in the country.

The Grove Hotel provides a relaxed holiday environment for people with illnesses such as cancer, alongside their family, friends and carers. Specially equipped to meet the needs of those with life-threatening illnesses and their accompanying guests, a number of bedrooms have electric recliner beds and emergency cords; bathrooms and showers have stools and handrails, and there is full wheelchair access. The hotel is funded and managed by Macmillan Caring Locally, a registered charity, and is run by a team of loyal and long-serving staff, with nurses on emergency call 24 hours a day.
