Bridge Health & Wellbeing were delighted to welcome Ian Girling, Chief Executive of Dorset Chamber, to their clinic in Christchurch, Dorset, to mark their fifth anniversary of Chamber membership. Ian presented the team with a special five-year certificate.
Bridge Health & Welbeing opened its doors in July 2019 and joined Dorset Chamber shortly afterwards. According to Paul O’Connell, co-founder and lead physiotherapist, it was a wise business decision.
“As a new business, joining the Chamber gave us access to a wealth of support and the chance to network and meet with other local businesses. We are grateful to have made some valuable connections and partnerships as a result.
It’s hard to believe that five years have passed since my wife and I opened our health and wellbeing clinic, which we hoped would become the heart of our local community. During that time, we have survived the challenges of COVID-19, launched new classes, opened new treatment rooms, won the Christchurch Business Awards and been shortlisted in the Dorset Business Awards, run by the Chamber.
Our team has grown from the two of us to a seventeen-strong group of physiotherapists, sports massage therapists, Yoga, Pilates teachers, a chiropractor, a strength and conditioning coach and receptionists.
This year has seen the opening of our new Garden Studio and the arrival of Pilates reformer classes, thanks to our new apparatus. It’s been a crazy five years, and we wouldn’t be anywhere without our clients and our community’s support.”
Ian added, “At Dorset Chamber, we are passionate about supporting local businesses and seeing them succeed. It is a pleasure to come and visit companies like Bridge Health & Wellbeing. Having come from a family business myself, I understand the importance of teamwork and the valuable role family businesses play in our local economy.
I congratulate Paul and Louise on their success, especially given the challenges of the past five years working through COVID and the cost-of-living crisis. I am sure they will continue to prosper in the years to come.”
