Business Come Dancing is Back for 2022! Get your Glitter Balls Ready!

IT’S BACK! PAVILION DANCE LAUNCHES BUSINESS COME DANCING 2022!

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN TO ENTER OUR STRICTLY STYLE FUNDRAISING EVENT OF THE YEAR.

CALLING ALL DORSET BUSINESSES – WE’RE LOOKING FOR CONTESTANTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR VERY OWN STRICTLY DANCE EXPERIENCE WHILST RAISING FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS.

Business Come Dancing is one of our most treasured (and glittering!) annual fundraising events.  And we’re excited to be bringing it back again! It’s often a life-changing experience for many contestants and has helped raise funds for projects and charities such as Bournemouth Hospital Charity, The Mayor of Bournemouth’s Charity Appeal Fund, Pavilion Dance Parkinson’s Dance (now in its 10th year) and Dance n Chat well-being programme in local schools with Dorset Mind. The event has been running for over 10 years and has raised £1000’s for charities in the South West.

Eight contestants from local businesses will be partnered with professional dancers to learn a routine – which could be anything from Latin to Charleston, Bollywood to Tango, Street to Salsa! After rehearsing for 8 weeks together they will get to perform in true ‘Strictly’ style in front of a live audience and panel of judges at a black-tie gala dinner on 19th November 2022 at the Highcliff Marriott Hotel.

Cheryl Baldacchino, events producer, Pavilion Dance South West says: “ We are so excited to bring back Business Come Dancing.  And it’s fabulous to have the support of local businesses to make this a truly special event and raise funds for such valuable projects and communities.  We’re delighted to be hosting at The Highlcliff Marriott hotel, overlooking the beautiful Bournemouth coastline and look forward to announcing a charity partner shortly.  We’ve had a lot of interest from potential contestants and can’t wait to get our full line-up of dancers on board. Previous contestants and winners have had a ball! After a 2-year Covid hiatus we’re bursting to get Business Come Dancing back on the floor!”

“I can already say that after 2 lessons I LOVE it. For those hours you are in the lesson everything else ceases to matter and I feel I am truly ‘in the moment’, I leave feeling great each and every time. This can only be beneficial both to my physical and mental health and so raising money to help Pavilion Dance will in turn help others.”

Winner of Business Come Dancing 2018, Daniel Snoxell took the roof off with his Irish Dance and said: “Business Come Dancing was such a happy and phenomenal experience. I’ll be carrying on with dancing – shortly after the event I even performed at the Pavilion Dance Revue Show. My teacher was amazing and so supportive as I’d never danced before. The night was a real celebration of joy and dance!”
