They weren’t only supremely organised they were well researched in what we wanted too – so effected introductions and a plan for those that may be able to help within a day or two – very impressive. “Just to give you an update on the value that we got from our meeting:
We have held discussions and have been invited to meetings with the DEMC.
I met personally with Joan at the Young Chamber and I have signed up to be a speaker/advocate for careers talks in local schools via a speaker profile. We have also discussed the way that we can promote the use of apprentices in our company.
SAFI have now created a dedicated training room (likely to open in March/April) and this will be used to begin looking at employing our first apprentice trainee in September – this is in our budget for 2020 and is an important step forward in our development and our future.
I appreciate all the work you and your team at Dorset Chamber have done – it’s a real benefit to us to look at how we can support the local community whilst also being supported by a central point.”
Matt King – Safi Valves
