“Suzannah and the Dorset gateway team were wonderful, the knowledge and insight was truly focused to our needs. They weren’t only supremely organised they were well researched in what we wanted too – so effected introductions and a plan for those that may be able to help within a day or two – very impressive. “Just to give you an update on the value that we got from our meeting:
We have held discussions and have been invited to meetings with the DEMC.
I met personally with Joan at the Young Chamber and I have signed up to be a speaker/advocate for careers talks in local schools via a speaker profile. We have also discussed the way that we can promote the use of apprentices in our company.
SAFI have now created a dedicated training room (likely to open in March/April) and this will be used to begin looking at employing our first apprentice trainee in September – this is in our budget for 2020 and is an important step forward in our development and our future.
I appreciate all the work you and your team at Dorset Chamber have done – it’s a real benefit to us to look at how we can support the local community whilst also being supported by a central point.”
Matt King – Safi Valves
