Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd Announces Tony Suttle as Facility Manager

Wimborne, UK – Tony Suttle has been promoted to the role of facility manager at Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd in Wimborne, Dorset with immediate effect.

Tony has been employed at the Wimborne site since 1985 establishing an in-depth knowledge of the products and the operations in their entirety. Despite the recent global challenges, over the last year the company launched the new Cat® C4.4 electronic genset and electronic auxiliary engine. The new Cat C7.1 auxiliary was launched in January. “These new additions to our product portfolio will enable us to continue to offer competitive solutions to our customers’ requirements” observes Tony.

Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd employs approximately 115 people and the facility is 5,055 square metres. The Wimborne facility manufactures marine propulsion engines from 86 hp to 500 hp, marine auxiliary engines and marine electrical generators from 10 eKW to 200 eKW under the Cat and Perkins® marine brands. Caterpillar Marine products are used in oceangoing (cruise and cargo), high performance (pleasure craft, military, and fast ferry) and workboat (offshore, tug and salvage, passenger, inland waterways, fishing, and dredging) applications.

Aware of the opportunities ahead, Tony comments: “I am looking forward to leading the facility and our dedicated team as we embark on the next chapter in the history of the Wimborne facility.”
