Chamber Chief Executive officially opens new Polyhose UK warehouse following collaboration with Mar-Key Group

Polyhose UK, an energy conveyance products wholesaler in Christchurch, was delighted to welcome Dorset Chamber Chief Executive Ian Girling to the official opening of their new warehouse. Polyhose worked with fellow Dorset Chamber member Mar-Key Group to install their new storage facility.

From their dedicated warehouse and distribution site in Christchurch, Dorset, Polyhose supplies customers all over the UK with world-class Thermoplastic, PTFE, Rubber Hydraulic, Industrial, Composite, Stainless Steel, Flexible hoses and Fluid Connectors.

Mar-Key Group designs, manufactures and builds structures for commercial clients and events. A champion of British manufacturing, their flexible, modular, reusable designs can be delivered and installed quickly on any surface, enabling companies to adapt to changing business needs.

With ambitious growth plans for 2025 and beyond, Polyhose needed to create additional warehousing space to accommodate a broader range of products and increase the depth of its UK stock holding. A temporary structure offered the fast, flexible and cost-effective solution they required.

Marc Whibley, Managing Director at Polyhose UK, was delighted to find a suitable supplier on the doorstep. “The team at Mar-Key Group took the time to explain the flexible modular options for temporary and permanent space. They gave us the confidence that although a building might be temporary, it would still be incredibly durable, safe comfortable for our staff to work in and fit for our purpose.

Once the groundworks were complete, Mar-Key Group finished the structure in just a few weeks. It was incredible to see how much progress they made so quickly and to see our vision for the new building come to life.”

Charlie Watson, Business Development Manager at Mar-Key Group, added, “It has been fantastic to work on this build with Polyhose and collaborate with a fellow Dorset Chamber member. The installation is around the corner from our manufacturing facility, and it was great to watch the team turn an empty land into usable space. I know the additional warehousing will make a real difference to Polyhose, and I wish them every success in growing their business.”

Visiting the site, Dorset Chamber Chief Executive Ian Girling commented, “Dorset has a vibrant and exciting business community, and we are passionate about supporting local companies and seeing them succeed. It is a pleasure to visit projects like this and see Chamber members working together to deliver growth.”

Polyhose UK has been a member of the Dorset Chamber for over 30 years. It is also a member of the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA), the UK’s only trade body for the Hydraulic and Pneumatic Industries.

With customers in Dorset and across the UK, Polyhose products are used in all kinds of fluid transfer applications, including hydraulic systems in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, automotive, marine, rescue equipment and industrial applications such as water jetting, sewer cleaning, high pressure blasting and painting and fire suppression systems, as well as LPG and high-pressure industrial gas transfer. Their culture of excellence means highly engineered fluid conveyance products that industries can trust to perform every time.
