Championship Volleyball for TH Pupil
Posted on: 06/11/2017

Talbot Heath pupil, Charlotte Wittram, recently played in the 2017 NEVZA U17 Championships in Denmark.
The NEVZA U17 Championships took place on the 16th – 19th of October in Ikast, Denmark. This annual international competition is fought between the Northern European Volleyball Zone Association Countries, and this year TH pupils Charlotte Wittram was chosen to be part of a team of 12 girls to represent England in this competition. The 15-year-old played as the first Libero, meaning she was the first choice of that position to be put on court. Matches were played against Norway, Denmark, Faroe Islands and Finland and team GB were placed sixth, out of eight countries, overall.
Charlotte now has eight international caps for this sport and was also selected to compete in the 2017 School Games at Loughborough University earlier this summer. The GCSE student said it was an amazing opportunity for her to represent her country and play high level international matches. She also stated how incredible the venue was to play in, adding, ‘The team spirit was unforgettable; I can’t wait to compete in this competition next year.’ Congratulations go to Charlotte on this fantastic achievement.
