Charity gives Primark window the royal treatment

Posted on: 25/05/2022

A prominent window display at Primark’s store in The Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole has been given a royal makeover by Forest Holme Hospice Charity to mark the Queen’s forthcoming Platinum Jubilee.

In 2019 the store choose Forest Holme Hospice as its charity partner in a partnership aimed at both raising funds and awareness of its work in supporting patients and families across Poole, Wimborne and Isle of Purbeck at the most difficult time of their lives.

Subsequently the store has organised regular activities with staff members such as gift donations, collections of foreign currency and stamps, as well as sweepstakes to support the charity’s fundraising.

Forest Holme has also been given opportunities to raise more awareness of its work by creating themed window displays on various occasions including Halloween and Valentine’s Day, as well as a rainbow-styled one to highlight their work as an NHS hospice.

Vicky House, Department Manager and head of the charity committee at Primark, said, “Forest Holme Hospice have created a great feature for the upcoming Queen’s Jubilee and we at Primark Poole are very proud that they have chosen to use our window for it. We are always so impressed with the displays that they create and appreciate all the hours of planning and preparation that go into each one. Forest Holme Hospice’s current Jubilee display in Primark Poole is most definitely fit for a Queen.”

Kirsty Perks, Fundraiser at Forest Holme Hospice, added “We were delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for Primark in Poole and it has been a fantastic and fun working partnership. The staff have been brilliant in getting involved and helping to support the charity, whether it’s through fundraising or helping to make more people aware of the wonderful work of Forest Holme.”
