Coles Miller solicitor Matthew Lewis has taken on a national role to further help leaseholders across the UK.
He has been named an honorary consultant by the Federation of Private Residents’ Associations (FPRA).
Coles Miller Partner Matthew Lewis leads the Dorset law firm’s Residential Leasehold Department. He and his team help clients across the country with legal advice on matters including:
- buying your freehold
- the lease extension process (and the right to vary a lease)
- the right to manage the block (taking over management duties from a landlord-appointed company or agent)
- the right of first refusal to buy the freehold if the landlord decides to sell it
- service charge disputes.
“The FPRA is a leading voice for leaseholders across the country,” said Mr Lewis.
“It is a much-respected not-for-profit organisation that lobbies for change at the highest level and offers residents’ associations, leaseholder-owned freehold companies and Right To Manage (RTM) companies impartial advice. I am delighted and honoured to be able to help,” he added.
