Leading Dorset law firm Coles Miller has further strengthened its legal team with a series of new appointments in Poole and Bournemouth.
The firm has welcomed litigation solicitor Dion McCarthy – a former Partner at a Top Tier Legal 500 firm in the Thames Valley – to its Bournemouth office.
Dion specialises in business, partnership, contract and property disputes. His work includes landlord and tenant litigation, boundary disputes, intellectual property, employment law and claims against professional advisers.
He plays an active role in the business community and is the founder of Pure Networking which runs events in Bournemouth, Salisbury and Windsor. Outside work, he enjoys travelling and has visited six continents.
Also new at Coles Miller’s West Cliff, Bournemouth office is solicitor Joseph Edwards. He has joined the Wills and Probate team, specialising in drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney, administration of estates and applications to the Court of Protection.
Joseph has obtained a diploma from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and sits on the committee for the Bournemouth & District Law Society private client section. He qualified as a solicitor in 2012 with another Bournemouth law firm after completing his Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University.
Solicitor Hugh Reid has joined the Poole office. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Hugh qualified in April 2006 and has been specialising in employment law (for both employers and employees) since September 2008.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, he worked in the legal department at Surrey Police Headquarters in Guildford, again exclusively on employment law matters.
Also joining the Poole office is Senior Lawyer Graham Lawrence, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute Legal Executives. He specialises in wills and probate.
Graham has a wealth of experience advising clients about wills, estate administration and Inheritance Tax. He has a particular interest in elderly client issues including capacity and powers of attorney.
Graham is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (currently chairing the Bournemouth branch) and also of Solicitors for the Elderly.
Much of his spare time is spent as a member of the Woodfalls (Salisbury) brass band which compete at the highest level and are currently the South West area champions.
Solicitor Charlotte Bunch has joined the Commercial Property department at Coles Miller’s Poole office.
Her specialisms include freehold and leasehold sales and purchases; assignments and grants of leases; options and conditional contracts; business sales and purchases; commercial property finance; site acquisitions and plot sales.
Senior Partner Roger Leedham said: “It’s great to be able to welcome so many talented new colleagues as our firm expands. The appointments will enable us to grow and enhance the comprehensive legal service that we are able to provide to our clients.”
