The fifth ‘Dancing with Choirs’ fundraising spectacular is going to be held in Bournemouth – to support Wessex Heartbeat.
The charity exists to improve cardiac care in the South West and its shows have gained a huge following.
Previous events have been held in Portsmouth, Southampton and Poole – but in June the Bournemouth Pavilion is the venue.
Five choirs and a host of dancers and dance troops will take to the famous stage in June.
Sponsors including Yellow Buses, the Marsham Court Hotel, Goadsby, Tristan Murless engineering, Hobbs, Womble Bond Dickinson, GCS and Bournemouth and Poole College are backing the show.
John Munro CEO of Wessex Heartbeat said: “Dancing with Choirs is an important part of our event calendar each year and we are delighted to be bringing the show to Bournemouth for the first time.
“It is important to the charity to work with the community and this allows us to do this. We are grateful to the sponsors for supporting this event which will continue to help cardiac care in the Dorset area.”
Fiona Harwood from Yellow Buses said: “We are really looking forward to this show.
“Having met some of the performers I know what a spectacular performance it will be.
“Wessex Heartbeat works tirelessly for those with cardia issues and all the money raised will be going to help.”
Diane Grannell, Principal of Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “I am delighted that Bournemouth & Poole College is involved with Wessex Heartbeat’s Dancing with Choirs.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to gain real industry experience, from performing in the show to developing promotional materials, whilst helping to raise funds for a brilliant local charity.”
