Ensuring your business is dementia-friendly is just one aspect of becoming an accessible and inclusive business.
There is a powerful business case for many public facing and tourism businesses to become dementia-friendly. Having an understanding of dementia and how to support those affected will help to future-proof your business, increase customer satisfaction and generate revenue. Adopting more dementia-friendly practices will not only improve accessibility for customers with dementia and their carers, but staff and the wider public as well.
Deborah Holmes at Heathland House says, we see first hand there is still a fear of dementia within the public community, one of the reasons, we hold a monthly Dementia Friends information session, these are not just for people who are close to someone livinig with dementia, but those who come in to contact with members of the public who may live with dementia, to create a better understanding.
Everyone is welcome to join us, the sessions are free to attend, with the next on 20th August. For more information or to arrange a special session for your business please do contact Deborah
