DORSET AUCTIONEERS TO SELL ODS OXFORDSHIRE ASSETS  AT HUGE OFFSITE SALE

Dorset auctioneers SWVA based at Holton Heath have been commissioned by major facilities management company ODS, who work with Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council, to sell off a huge range of unwanted assets.
Local businesses, traders and members of the public are invited to attend the auction to be held at the ODS Cowley Marsh depot at the end of the month.

The auction is for the disposal of goods no longer required, ranging from vehicles and plant machinery, to tools and landscaping equipment.

Jo Legg, Business Development Manager for SWVA said, “We are finding that more local authorities and larger companies are opting for on-site auctions as an option to sell off high volume redundant goods still in good condition. For the client it is an efficient way to dispose of unwanted assets, and for buyers it usually represents a terrific opportunity to purchase items below market value. We have invested in technology and systems that allow us to take our auctioneers off site to hold a sale at our clients’ premises.”

The ODS vehicle and plant equipment auction will feature pre-owned vehicles including cars and vans, a broad range of plant and machinery, landscaping and gardening equipment, tools, power tools, and construction equipment, composite doors and more.

Oliver Hearn, Head of Facilities Management and Fleet at ODS added: added, “This public auction gives the community access to a wide range of quality items for sale at reasonable prices, but also supports ODS’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. We are about creating social value and proceeds from the auction will go back into doing good for Oxfordshire’s communities.”

The auction takes place at the ODS Cowley Marsh Depot, Marsh Road, OX4 2HH, on Saturday, 29 June 2024. Viewing starts at 8am, with the auction beginning promptly at 10:30am.
To bid at the auction, buyers must register either in advance via the SWVA website or at the depot on the day. Buyers should note that when bidding at auction a buyer’s premium of 10% plus VAT will be added to the final hammer price. Payments can be made by cash, card, or BACS transfer.
