Dorset cyber firm becomes tech leader

Leading Dorset secure ICT and information security company C3IA has been elected to the Defence Board of techUK – the country’s leading technology trade association.

The Poole-headquartered business has been a member for more than a decade and was one of the first signatories of the techUK and Defence Digital’s collaboration ‘Code of Practice’.

The board consists of leaders from the across the defence sector and aims to increase activity between stakeholders within the industry.

Since 2006, the company has pioneered the delivery of various products across multiple defence programmes, gaining expertise to support clients in the wider public as well as private sector.

John Botterill, Managing Director of C3IA, said: “techUK has for some time championed technology’s role in preparing the UK for what is coming.

“We have been proud members for more than 10 years and being elected to the board is an opportunity to help shape policy.

“Serving on the board allows us to collaborate on accelerating innovation, share insights on emerging trends and contribute to the advance of technology within the defence sector and beyond.

“Over the years we have built up a great deal of experience, through the development of technology partnerships to active engagement across the defence spectrum. This will enable us to advocate for SMEs and help champion collaborations and co-operation between techUK’s growing number of members.
