Even Keel Solutions Welcomes New Apprentice to Growing Team

Even Keel Solutions, a leading insolvency and business advisory firm based in Dorset, is proud to announce the appointment of Jessica Oliver as their newest Insolvency Administrator. Jessica will be undertaking a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship through Bournemouth and Poole College, starting this September.

Jessica, a former student of Glenmoor and Winton Academy, started working with Even Keel Solutions, part-time in February 2023 in general administration. Impressed by the profession, Jessica decided to deepen her knowledge of the insolvency sector and enhance her business acumen.

Since early June 24, Jessica has transitioned to a near full-time role. Directors Dorothy Brown and Andrew Rumsey have been impressed with her rapid progress. “Jessica is proving to be a fast learner, and her confidence in the role is growing exponentially,” Dorothy commented. “We’re both impressed with how much she has achieved during the last couple of months.”

Despite initial plans for a gradual introduction to her new responsibilities, Jessica has risen to the challenge of an increased workload. She has been assisting with the finance function, communicating with clients and creditors, and setting up new cases, showcasing her adaptability and eagerness to learn.

Even Keel Solutions prides itself on providing a supportive environment for its team members. The firm has implemented robust training and support systems for apprentices, with all team members contributing to Jessica’s professional development. As her apprenticeship journey begins at the college, her work will be aligned with the requirements of her course.

Jessica is enthusiastic about her new role and upcoming apprenticeship: “So far, my journey with Even Keel Solutions has been amazing. I have learnt so much and I’m looking forward to learning more when I begin the apprenticeship in September. The team have really made me feel comfortable and at home, which has really boosted my confidence.”

The decision to bring an apprentice on board aligns with Even Keel’s growth strategy. Directors Andrew and Dorothy have been active participants in Dorset Chamber events promoting apprenticeship opportunities. They see this as a way to combine personal advancement and academic opportunities with the firm’s need to expand its team in response to increasing work volumes.

“By investing in our team’s education, we hope to create mutually beneficial rewards going forward,” Andrew said, also indicating that if the apprenticeship route proves successful, they hope to offer similar opportunities to others in the future.

Even Keel Solutions’ commitment to nurturing young talent and investing in the local community demonstrates their forward-thinking approach to business growth and development. As Jessica embarks on her apprenticeship journey, the firm looks forward to supporting her growth and witnessing her contributions to their continued success.
