Business Toolkit: A Human-Centred Framework for Business Sustainability

Event Details

A Human-Centred Framework for Business Sustainability

This practical and thought-provoking session explores the growing economic and human case for investing in wellbeing, connection and relational leadership at work, particularly during the perinatal period, when many employees experience profound change.

Drawing on evidence from psychology, early childhood science and leadership coaching, Viv Allen, CEO and Founder of DorPIP introduces a human-centered framework that helps leaders recognise the underlying causes of stress, disengagement and “silent quitting”, and respond in ways that improve retention, performance and wellbeing.

Informed by national work from The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood and the Shaping Us framework, this session links early emotional development to adult resilience, workplace culture and sustainable economic outcomes.

Designed for business leaders, managers and HR professionals, the session offers clear, practical insights that can be applied immediately — supporting staff to flourish at work and at home, and helping organisations build resilient, people-centered workplaces for the future.

Participants will leave with:

·         A clear understanding of why wellbeing, retention and engagement are essential for business sustainability, not just HR concerns

·         Insight into how early emotional development shapes adult resilience, stress responses and workplace behaviour

·         Practical tools to recognise and respond to disengagement, stress and transition — particularly for working parents

·         Confidence to create cultures where people feel supported to stay, return and thrive at work
