Over the course of the 2 days, you will learn what it takes to export your goods overseas through terminology, discussion and practical exercises. You should develop a basic understanding of how to process an export order, raise the correct documentation, Incoterms® 2010, and different methods of payment.

As an exporter it is vital to understand the complex issues of trading internationally. Those in the company who manage the movement of goods overseas need to be aware of their responsibilities and it's not uncommon for administrators, or even managers, to have little or no formal training. The knowledge of export procedures can be picked up from a predecessor, trial and error or a bad experience. This course has been designed to meet this training requirement.

Foundation Award (British Chambers of Commerce National Accredited Trade Training™)
The National Trade Training programme includes ten centrally accredited modules, covering a core export skills curriculum. These courses are mapped to Level 2 NVQ terminology and provide invaluable basic skills for small and large companies alike.

The Export starter course will cover the necessary information to pass 3 of these modules, namely understanding exporting, methods of payment and Incoterms. This is half way to completing the Foundation Award. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the subject which is marked by external examiners, and on successful completion of the course each candidate receives a BCC accredited certificate.

Export invoicing, certificates of origin, bills of lading, payments, letters of credit, customs declarations/reporting and hazardous goods

New export staff, export administrators/managers, shipping/logistics, and compliance.

In the event of a booking being cancelled prior to the scheduled course date, the following charges will apply:

30+ days notice = 25%
14-30 days notice = 50%
<14 days notice = 100%

Bookings can be transferred to a later date but will incur a £10 admin fee.
