Import procedures
Event Details
In recent years, manufacturing has relocated to countries with lowers production costs, many found beyond the EU. The affect is an increase in non-EU imports, which places more responsibility on those staff working in purchasing and shipping, whilst finance teams need to be aware of the impact of import procedures and HMRC regimes. Furthermore, many companies are actively involved in moving goods between markets for repair, processing or on a temporary basis.
The exposure to these HMRC regimes such as Inward/Outward Processling Relief, warehousing and end use relief can be complex and problematic if they're implemented incorrectly. As a result, many companies have received Duty/VAT demands from HMRC related to non-compliance. The course is designed to meet this training need.
During this full day course you will develop an understanding of the role HRMC play in managing the import process, the implications this has on you as an importer, and your requirements in order to be eligible for the many regimes designed to facilitate efficient movement of your goods in to the EU.
