Event Details

Wednesday 28th April 2021 – 08:50-10:30

Join Dorset Chamber for our County Connections Online @9 with Somerset Chamber at 08:50 via Zoom. Sponsored by BWT Physio

We use the format of two room changes where you can network with up to 8 people.

Due to the number of attendees it is likely you will meet one person you have met in the previous room.

We try to avoid business sector clashes but this is not always possible.

This is a chance to network, make new contacts, catch up with existing customers and gain advice with our neighbours Somerset Chamber.

This event is sponsored by BWT Physio, established in 1989, are leading providers of Physiotherapy & Neurological Rehabilitation in Dorset.

We have extensive experience treating patients from large corporations to small businesses and appreciate that your staff are your best asset. We want to keep you and your team fit, productive and happy!

It’s easy to get treatment as you can refer yourself (but may need a GP or consultant referral for some insurance companies).Appointments are usually made within 24-48 hours of your call, after a personal telephone triage call. All treatment is carried out in full PPE until the pandemic restrictions are lifted. We have evening and Saturday clinics to fit around your working week and childcare.

We specialise in relieving pain and regaining full function whether it’s back pain, migraine or headache, a sports injury, arthritis, a stroke or Parkinsons, pre or post-natal problems (The Mummy MOT) and we even have a dizzy clinic and a new Long Covid rehab service.

Immediate diagnostic ultrasound scanning is available on site with our advanced trained physios. This not only gives a fast and accurate picture of what EXACTLY is going on but the report fast tracks information for any onward referral to a consultant. So you or your staff are back to fighting fitness as soon as possible.

Of course none of us are just a body without a brain and so we work closely with medical colleagues to provide a whole person approach to your recovery. We provide invaluable help with sleep problems and have a Clinical Psychologist and a Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist, life coaches, yoga and Pilates instructors, and will soon welcome Ballet Barre back to our site at Ashley Cross Parkstone.

Our clinic at The West Hants Club offers gym and pool facilities for our patients undergoing treatment, here we can safely ramp up your stamina and get those all-important endorphins going! Also check out our sport specific physios offering services in running clinics, body and bikefit, golf, racquet sports, football, cricket, rugby, sailing and climbing – we will have a specialist for your specific need.

Somerset Chamber was established in 1994 and is one of only 53 Chambers accredited to the British Chambers of Commerce.
In a normal year, the Chamber organises more than 80 physical events to support members’ businesses and strengthen supply chains. However, since the pandemic, all events have been moved online and the Chamber has supported more than 3500 businesses and held over 130 events since last March.

We are actively campaigning for better rural broadband connectivity across Somerset and calling for better physical, as well as digital, links for the county.

Somerset Chamber also organises the county’s largest and most prestigious business awards – the Somerset Business Awards – which this year celebrate their 16th anniversary with a record number of entries.
The chamber co-ordinates the Hinkley Supply Chain which helps local and regional businesses improve their chances of winning work at the Hinkley Point C project near Bridgwater.
