Across my many careers, one thread is consistent. I have spent my life working to improve the lives of others and the communities in which they live. ESG is at the heart of organisations that make a sustained positive difference to the world we live in. We should all care about our environment, ethical governance, and improving the lives of our staff and customers. I am passionate about helping people, organisations and businesses synergies to make the world a better place for everyone.

Gareth has worked as a doctor, schools worker, public speaker, advisor in ethics on medical issues, youth worker and church leader. He has also served as a director with several charities. He has broad experience in starting and developing volunteer groups and charities. He remains a credentialed ordained minister in the Elim church.

Gary Neild

CEO

Blue Sky Financial Planning

Gary is the CEO of Blue Sky Financial Planning having established the company some 21 years ago. The company moved to an Employee Ownership status in December 2022, a natural fit for Gary’s ethos, with two of the key requirements being a positive inclusive team culture and an engagement with the wider community (the ‘S’), along with strong robust governance (the ‘G’).

Gary’s background has meant he has always had a resonance with environmental risks and natural resource management (the E) having studied Environmental Science throughout his education, culminating in a degree in the very subject. Gary then went onto teach for 5 years in secondary schools.

It’s therefore no surprise that ESG principles are firmly front and central of Gary’s thinking both personally and within Blue Sky.
