Lord Price has over 40 years experience as a business leader, driving success throughout the John Lewis Partnership, serving as the Managing Director of Waitrose for over eight years, nearly doubling the store count. Lord Price is Chairman of Fair Trade UK, a published author, President of the Chartered Management Institute and member of the House of Lords. He joined the Conservative Government as the Minister of State for Trade and Investment in 2016.

In 2017 Lord Price Founded WorkL for Business and WorkL in his bid to make the workplace for employees a happier place. His Six Steps to Workplace Happiness has been published as a book and is the foundation of Workl, supporting organisations to improve employee engagement and experience and helping individuals find happier jobs.

Kevin is experienced in all aspects of employment law, both claimant and respondent, from drafting contracts and procedures to providing representation before tribunals in complex and high value cases involving multiple claimants. He regularly advises company boards at strategic HR level on matters such as contract variations and redundancies.

Kevin has had a varied career, working in both the public and private sectors for small high street practices through to local authorities and RSLs, landing in Bournemouth seven years ago where he now heads up the Employment Team at Lester Aldridge. Kevin is admired for his pragmatic approach and for finding solutions which minimise both cost and risk to his clients.

Having qualified to MCIPD level, Karen has had a career in HR working in the NHS, Retail and Manufacturing. Since joining Keith Spicer, a global Tea Manufacturer in 2008 as HR Manager she is now Head of HR.

Karen works as a strategic business partner, focussed on employee relations for both sites in the UK.  Since covid, the focus on work life balance, flexible working, employee recruitment and retention, work experience and training is of particular interest due to the challenge it is giving to employers at present.

With over 20 years of professional human resources experience, Karen provides strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business partners to achieve operational goals while mitigating risk.  Along with a strong business acumen, her comprehensive background in HR management, recruitment, retention, compensation, labour relations, policy interpretation, training and communication has resulted in strong and trusting relationships with her customers both internally and externally. Karen also sits on the employer’s advisory board for Guys Marsh Prison

Jill Haynes comes from a West Dorset farming family and has lived in this area all her life.

Jill trained as a teacher but soon moved to work in the automotive industry. When she married her husband, they started a heavy haulage business moving contractor’s plant and this meant driving the class one vehicles and the excavators!  The experience with the haulage business led to Jill and Brian branching into engineering design and setting up a business to patent and market solutions in HGVs, construction and plant security.

Jill has been a councillor at District and County level for 35 years and for the last 11 years at Cabinet level covering areas such as Adult Social Care, Customer and Community Services and currently Corporate Development and Transformation.
