Popular independent country and western boutique Lavender Moon in Poole’s Kingland Crescent will be doubling in size, as they expand into the unit next door.
Bethany Waring, owner of Lavender Moon said, “Our customers often say they wished we had a bigger selection of both menswear and jeans. When I heard that the unit next door would soon be vacant, it sounded like the perfect opportunity for us to grow.”
Lavender Moon is the fourth independently owned retailer in Kingland Crescent to expand since the launch of The Dolphin’s KINGLAND initiative in 2021. Over the last four years, KINGLAND has revitalised long vacant retail units by providing opportunities for local independently owned businesses to thrive in the town centre.
John Grinnell, Centre Manager of The Dolphin Poole said, “We’re pleased to be supporting another one of our independents as they expand. Lavender Moon have been hugely popular since they joined KINGLAND in April 2024, and their continued growth is a testament to the local appetite for diverse and unique independent retail.”
The expansion will allow the store to offer a wider selection of country and western stock in response to consumer preferences. The launch also marks the beginning of a new brand partnership with Wrangler.
Harry Knowles, Sales Representative at Wrangler said, “As Wrangler’s South UK sales rep, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve just opened an account with one of the country’s leading country and western stores, Lavender Moon! With their exciting new store expansion, it’s the perfect time for Wrangler to join their journey, and I couldn’t be happier to see our brand on their shelves. Even more exciting, Lavender Moon is now a proud stockist of our incredible Lainey Wilson Collection, a range that celebrates authentic country style with a modern edge.
“Working with Beth, the owner, has been an absolute pleasure. She’s a true force behind the store’s success and such a super person to collaborate with. Her passion for country and western culture shines through in everything she does. The whole Lavender Moon team are amazing – their energy, enthusiasm, and dedication make this partnership even more special. We’re really excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to see Wrangler and Lavender Moon grow together.”
More menswear and jeans for both genders, as well as larger sections for Ariat boots and Joe Browns clothing, will be available throughout the expanded store.
As well as attracting new brand partners such as Wrangler, the expansion has also benefitted Lavender Moon’s longer-standing partners. Ariat boots have long been a staple product at Lavender Moon, and the expanded store will feature a broader range of Ariat products.
Sarah Hunt, Area Sales Manager at Ariat said, “We’re delighted to see Lavender Moon expanding her premises and being able to offer an even broader selection of our footwear, apparel and denim range.”
Brand representatives from Ariat will be running an exclusive in-store giveaway in celebration of the launch. Customers who attend the store’s launch day will have the opportunity to enter the giveaway to win a free pair of Ariat boots.
Lavender Moon is currently closed for renovations, with an official launch event planned for Saturday 30th August 2025.
