Georgia qualifies as solicitor

Talented Georgia McWilliam has qualified as a solicitor with regional law firm Ellis Jones.
The legal eagle is the latest to win her wings at the firm after embarking upon her training contract at the peak of the Covid pandemic.
Georgia has qualified into the Family Law department at Ellis Jones. The firm has more than 170 staff including 21 Partners in five offices across the South as well as London.
Nigel Smith, Ellis Jones’ Managing Partner, said: “Congratulations to Georgia.
“We have a longstanding policy of employing and developing talented people while helping them to fulfil their potential.
“Georgia has a promising future ahead in the legal profession, and we look forward to seeing her advance her career at Ellis Jones while providing the very best support for our many valued clients.”
Georgia, who is Social Secretary on the committee of the Bournemouth & District Junior Lawyers Division, has a LLB (Hons) Law Degree from the University of the West of England. She completed her Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University.
She has been with Ellis Jones since 2018, and progressed from Legal Assistant to Paralegal before starting her training contract as a solicitor and becoming qualified.
Georgia said: “It feels great to qualify as a solicitor after many years of study and training.
“I am grateful for the support of all my colleagues at Ellis Jones and look forward to following in the footsteps of the many talented and committed lawyers who have advanced their careers at the firm.”
Georgia follows hot on the heels of Florence Newton who qualified as a solicitor earlier this year.
Ellis Jones has offices in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs (Poole), Ringwood, Swanage and Wimborne as well as London.
