Following a high-impact, sold-out launch in Somerset, the Great South West Partnership has announced the next events in its 2025 Regional Roadshow series, with dates confirmed for Devon and Dorset.
Delivered in partnership with Dorset Chamber, the Dorset Roadshow on 23 September at Bournemouth University will bring a sharp focus to the region’s innovation economy, from marine tech and advanced manufacturing to the growing digital and health clusters.
These Roadshows form part of the Great South West’s wider ambition to unite business and civic leaders behind a bold vision for the region’s future, targeting £45 billion in economic uplift and 190,000 new jobs by 2035, and making the case to Government for a new partnership with the region to lead the delivery of the UK’s Industrial Strategy.
Business leaders and local stakeholders are invited to join the discussions, identify key issues which are faced in the region, and highlight what needs to be raised with Ministers to drive growth and investment across each part of the South West.
Ian Girling, Chief Executive of Dorset Chamber of Commerce, said: "Dorset is home to some of the UK’s most innovative businesses – from marine and defence to health tech and advanced manufacturing. This Roadshow is a chance to put Dorset’s economic strengths on the regional map, and ensure our voice is part of the national conversation. We’re proud to be partnering with the Great South West to champion our business community, and unlock new opportunities for growth and investment.”
