The Dorset Children’s Foundation have had free office space donated to them by generous local company Micro Nav in Boscombe.
The charity’s Ambassador Harry Redknapp visited the offices to formerly open them along with Mason White one of the children that the charity supports and is a big Bournemouth football fan.
Harry said: “Its fantastic that a local company has stepped in like this and enable The Dorset Children’s Foundation to carry on the wonderful work that they do, supporting local sick and disabled children”.
Previously the staff working for the charity had no proper base and Patsy Hallmey the charity’s founder often worked in the broom cupboard inside the charity shop in Boscombe. Patsy said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of Micro Nav and having this space has made a huge difference to us. We can work as a team now in nice surroundings and get so much work done.”
Mike Saunders from Micro Nav said: “The team at the Dorset Children’s Foundation (DCF) provide real help for local children and it is a pleasure to have them working in the Micro Nav offices. All at Micro Nav look forward to continuing its support for this excellent charity.”
