Customers switching to electric are being given a helping hand by one automotive group which is offering far more than just the vehicle.
Hendy Group, which represents 21 manufacturers across the south coast, has joined forces with Zoom EV to offer electric vehicle customers a host of benefits to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Hendy Group’s commercial director Mark Busby said the partnership with Zoom EV will provide reassurance to customers considering electric vehicles that they can easily access the right services.
“Part of the experience of purchasing an electric car or van from Hendy Group is that we will provide our customers with access to key EV services with specific rates. Customers will receive a benefits package, unique to themselves, which gives them access to a range of discounts on public and home charging, as well as EV energy tariffs and nationwide parking,” said Mark. “It’s designed to make the whole transition to EV as easy and seamless for customers as possible.
“This in turn will raise awareness of the infrastructure in place to support electric vehicles, as well as helping those who’ve bought from us to save money going forward.”
The partnership comes at a time of massive growth for EV sales with one in 10 new cars sold in the UK being either a battery or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) says that new models continue to increase customer choice and demand for battery electric vehicles has risen dramatically.
“We know that more and more people are considering electric for their next vehicle and we want to make sure that we make the buying and owning process as seamless and easy as possible for these customers and that they can be reassured we can provide a truly comprehensive service,” said Mark.
“We know there are still concerns among some motorists about going electric but we believe the combination of amazing new electric vehicles on the road and the benefits and knowledge from Zoom EV will reassure motorists and help them enjoy the new electric road ahead.”
Zoom EV chief executive officer Greg Fairbotham said he was delighted to welcome Hendy customers to the Zoom EV experience.

The Zoom EV benefits package is now available on all new and used electric vehicles from Hendy Group.
