Grass roots cricket in Dorset has been given a boost from Hendy Group which has become the key sponsor of Parley Cricket Club for 2021.
Hendy chief executive Paul Hendy said he was thrilled to announce the group’s support of the club.
“We are always keen to help the community in which Hendy Group operates and with a number of new car and car store operations in Dorset this is a perfect partnership for us to showcase our expanding portfolio to a wider audience.”
Hendy represents 13 car brands in Dorset and also has an award-winning Car Store in the county.
The club’s adult players will have Hendy-branded kit for 2021 and there will be advertising at the ground.
Parley Cricket Club dates back to the 1940s when local sportsmen returning from the war founded a cricket and football club on parish council lands. The club has since expanded its adult teams and has also successfully built its youth structure.
Teams play in Dorset and Hampshire leagues with titles won over the years in both leagues.
“Hendy Group has generously linked up with Parley Cricket Club in 2021 as their principal sponsor and will help to promote Parley as a community club to a wider audience,” said Parley Cricket Club chairman Mark Barber.
“The club provides cricket for five adult teams, ladies sides and has the reputation for youth cricket which is renowned. This sponsorship has enabled the club to invest in Hendy-branded kit for adults together with new cricket covers displaying the Hendy logo, and to invest in the future of the club.
