Howzat! Ellis Jones Is New Sponsor Of Wimborne And Colehill CC

Wimborne and Colehill Cricket Club has been bowled over after securing a sponsorship deal with law firm Ellis Jones.

All four teams, as well as 100 junior players, are wearing branded kit and the club hopes it is the start of a long association with the growing business.

The deal also includes sponsorship of the club’s two grounds – The Leaze in Wimborne and its second pitch in Colehill.

John Ridout, chairman and treasurer of the club, said: “We are delighted to be linking up with such a large and established firm of solicitors.

“We hope it is the start of a long association and already it is proving a success.

“Having players all wearing the same kit really helps team spirit and bonding and gives us more of an identity.”

Nigel Smith, Managing Partner of Ellis Jones, said: “Since we opened our office in Wimborne we have been keen to become involved in the community.

“The cricket club runs four senior sides as well as a big youth section and the sponsorship will really help raise our profile.

“Our staff will be socialising at the club and there will be opportunities for further involvement with the local community.

“Already we have been pleased with the extra recognition the sponsorship has given us, and of course we wish the club well for the rest of the season.”

Ellis Jones is a regional law firm with more than 150 staff including 14 partners.

It has five offices across the south coast in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs (Poole), Ringwood, Swanage and Wimborne – as well as London – and offers a wide range of services to individuals and businesses.
