Humphries Kirk Sponsors A Variety Of Mainstream Events In Swanage This Summer

Posted on: 13/06/2018

Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm, Humphries Kirk, is proudly sponsoring a variety of events in Swanage this summer.

The Swanage office, located in Rempstone Road, is supporting Kingston Country Fair (Sunday July 8), Purbeck Strings at Swanage Carnival (Tuesday July 31) and the Music in the Marquee at Swanage Carnival (July 28 – August 4). Humphries Kirk also sponsored the Swanage Fish Festival, which took place at the weekend (June 9-10), supporting the cooking demos, live entertainment programme and family activities on offer.

Humphries Kirk is also sponsoring Kingston Country Fair in July, to support the various stalls, classic cars, steam engines and vintage agricultural machinery, in the fields behind Kingston Courtyard overlooking Corfe Castle. The Fair is run to raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

The law firm is also set to sponsor the Music in the Marquee at Swanage Carnival, a popular annual event for the coastal town, which takes place from Saturday July 28 until Saturday August 4. The Carnival Marquee welcomes numerous live bands during the week.

Purbeck Strings’ performance at Swanage Carnival is also being sponsored by Humphries Kirk. Purbeck Strings will play at The Mowlem Community Room on Shore Road on Tuesday July 31. The repertoire will include music from Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Rossini and solos from young, local players.

Ann Corke, partner at Humphries Kirk and based in the Swanage office, commented: “We’re really pleased to be sponsoring such a variety of events. It’s great to see Swanage come to life over the summer with all the wonderful festivals and events on offer and we’re pleased to be able to sponsor events like these to enhance the cultural life of our community.”

Humphries Kirk has also provided The Link Visiting Scheme with a donation to support the volunteers that work for the service in Swanage and East Purbeck. The scheme, set up by Swanage and Purbeck Development Trust, is a befriending service to help older, isolated people combat loneliness. Volunteers are recruited to provide company and occasional outings.

Humphries Kirk’s Swanage office is located at 4 Rempstone Road, Swanage. The law firm also has offices in Bournemouth, Parkstone, Poole, Wareham, Dorchester and Crewkerne and has an international network of lawyers. Visit www.hklaw.eu for more information.
