Inspire’s free webinar programme helps over 250 businesses

At the start of ‘lockdown’, Poole-based Inspire Professional Services launched a programme of free, interactive webinars to support the local business community during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The series of webinars, held weekly via Zoom, have covered topics related to the government’s measures to help businesses, including the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) and the Future Fund and have been attended by over 250 business leaders so far.

The next webinar in the programme, taking place on Monday (11 May) at 11am, will focus on the support announced by the government for those who are self-employed.

The Inspire team will offer key details on the government’s Self-Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS), including eligibility criteria, the application process and what to expect from the HMRC claims service.

A Q&A session will follow, giving all attendees the opportunity to ask questions on the government’s additional Coronavirus support.

Warren Munson, Founder of Inspire, commented: “We know that almost all businesses are being affected by the disruption caused by Coronavirus at the moment, and although the government has announced a package of unprecedented measures to support businesses and self-employed, the detail and application processes related to many schemes has been complex and the business community needs advice, clarifications and their questions answered.

“I feel passionately that we’re all in this together, so we’re very happy to be able to help and support the business community, during this testing time for everyone. Our webinar programme has helped more than 250 businesses over the last five weeks, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do.

“Next week’s webinar is aimed at those who are self-employed and are looking to apply for the government’s support programme. Earlier this week we heard from HMRC that it is expecting to be ahead of schedule with this scheme, with initial claims due to be paid before the end of May. This is obviously very welcome news, but it does mean that those who are eligible need to be prepared and ready to submit their claims.”

Inspire’s free, interactive webinar programme includes weekly session, with advice, guidance and a Q&A – aimed at directly supporting businesses dealing with Coronavirus.
