The CIPR judging panel said: “The judges were impressed with the clarity of both the concept and the content, and most importantly how the It Runs In The Family podcast has achieved strong cross over into mainstream audiences and wider PR coverage.”

On winning, Liz Willingham, podcast co-host and founder and managing director of LLPR, added: “We’re delighted to win the Best Podcast Award and to be acknowledged as an award-winning podcast.  Our podcast is all about the poignant, ‘behind the scenes’, stories in running a family business and my co-host and daughter, Leila, are proud to have the opportunity to share a diverse range of family business stories via informal, documentary-style interviews.”

It Runs In The Family has currently reached listeners in 42 countries including the UK, United States, Canada, Russia, Germany, France and Australia.  The podcast has successfully climbed to number three in top UK family podcasts and number 12 in top international family business podcasts*.

Being on our own family business journey, we know how brilliant and equally how challenging working with family can be. It Runs In The Family serves to highlight the diverse success stories of firms that have been built on years of heritage. We’re proud that the podcast is becoming a place where our listeners can learn from family businesses, either as a family organisation themselves or as individuals interested in this unique way of operating.”
