The Dorset Cancer Care Foundation are giving people to enjoy an exclusive supper in the fantastic surroundings of Rick Steins, Sandbanks, to raise sums for the Charity
The DCCF is a Dorset-based charity which provides financial assistance to Dorset residents and their families who are experiencing severe financial hardship due to cancer.
We do this in the simplest and most effective way possible: applications are submitted to us online, all requests are put to our trustees every two weeks and when an application is successful the money is deposited straight into the recipient’s account – the whole process takes no more than five weeks.
Since we were founded in 2013, we have gifted over £700,000 in awards and helped 810 individuals and organisations.
Demand for our services has never been so high and we are committed to increasing our fundraising to cope with this demand in the coming years.
What sets DCCF apart from other charities – other than the fact that it is the only Dorset charity providing financial assistance for Dorset cancer patients – is that supporters can see exactly where their fundraising and donations are spent – helping local people during some of their darkest days.
Jannine Loveys – Fundraising Manager, says without events like these we could not help as many people as we do, and every penny that we raise will go towards to those people living in Dorset struggling financially with a cancer diagnosis.
