Posted on: 23/05/2016

Some of the biggest names in the field of audio visual equipment, IT and telecoms put in a top performance at Premier League AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium this week.

The Audio Visual Technology Day has become an annual fixture at the football club’s stadium and more than 100 visitors packed the club VIP lounge to proudly show off their wares.

The show was created by Poole-based audio visual equipment experts, Hugh Symons AV. Jo Kenny managing director, said there had been a significant increase in interest from schools and corporate institutions in the latest technology now available as teaching aids and marketing tools.

“We felt it was essential to help provide a platform in the south for companies to showcase some of the fantastic hardware and software now available and the message is certainly getting across. AV Tech Day has really taken off.

Choosing the home of AFC Bournemouth, which has been enjoying its most successful season in its history, was a masterstroke. More than 100 visitors passed through to meet experts from such high profile companies as Sony, Promethean, Panasonic and Epson. Other specialist companies such as Loxit sent representatives from the north. This was a chance to get a close-up view of cutting-edge touchscreen and remote working, switching and wireless technologies from the leading manufacturers.

There was an opportunity to discover the value of digital signage for any business, discuss a managed ICT service, watch a 3D printer in action and talk to the DCCI who were all exhibiting at the event.

Jo said: “It was great a success with an informal friendly atmosphere. All the vendors were informative and knowledgeable and we tried not to have too many repetitive stands.”

Visitors also had the chance to win an Apple Watch or iPad2 in a conference draw as well as a chance to win a tour of AFC Bournemouth’s football stadium
