Law firms compete in red hot Go Karting Challenge, hosted by Saffery Champness Chartered Accountants, raising funds for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care

Saffery Champness Chartered Accountants hosted their annual Go Karting Challenge event, at which 12 teams competed for a coveted cup, awarded by Safferys.  Each team contributed £100 to Lewis-Manning Hospice Care who were presented with a cheque for £1,200.

9 law firms took part, including Ellis Jones, Frettens, Trethowans, Humphries Kirk, Laceys, Lester Aldridge, Preston Redman, Parker Bullen and  Steele Raymond.  Safferys entered 2 teams and the lawyers and accountants were joined by IT support business, Quostar.

The temperature was hot and the competition even hotter! Early leaders on the score board were Safferys, Lester Aldridge, Frettens and Steele Raymond vying for the top positions. Lester Aldridge and Steele Raymond started to edge ahead though as the evening progressed and Lester Aldridge were the eventual winners.

Lester Aldridge Partner Edward Adamson advised, “It’s been a fantastic evening, supporting a very worthwhile charity.  It was hot work but friendly and competitive racing, lots of fun!”

Saffery Partner Jamie Lane said, “The evening has been a great success, love the camaraderie shown by all.  We were delighted to be supporting our local community hospice, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, yet again,”

Nicki Cluley added, “What an evening! As well as enjoying some super competitive racing, it’s been brilliant chatting with everyone and we’ve even had 2 more pledges made for our 30 4 30 campaign, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Lewis-Manning.

Huge congratulations to all the drivers and big thanks to Saffery for choosing to support us, it makes a real difference.”
