Leading law firm welcomes The Dorset Cyber Alliance as guest speakers to business networking event in Dorchester

Humphries Kirk is putting the finishing touches to its plans for the Top O’ Town Lunch Club at the Wessex Royale Hotel in Dorchester on Wednesday April 18.

The law firm is pleased to invite guest speakers Hollie Hinde and Jake Moore from The Dorset Cyber Alliance (DCA) who will advise how best to create safe online business environments. General Data Protection Regulations come into force on May 25 and this will have a significant impact on local businesses as well.

The DCA was launched to protect and grow Dorset businesses and address cyber security issues, as well as share best practice on cyber security and provide support coordinated by the Dorset Growth Hub and Dorset Police Cyber Crime Prevention. The DCA is sustained through a strategic partnership between Local Authorities, Dorset Growth Hub, Dorset Police, Silicon South and the private sector.

Those interested in attending the April Top O’ Town Lunch Club, should email b.white@hklaw.eu. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 12.30pm for a prompt 1pm start.

Barry White, marketing consultant at Humphries Kirk and organiser of the Top O’ Town Lunch Club, commented: “We look forward to welcoming Hollie and Jake from Dorset Cyber Alliance as our guest speakers. They will be offering advice on how to protect yourself and your business. There will also be the opportunity to ask any questions.

“Our Top O’ Town Lunch Club programme offers the perfect place for delegates to meet other business people over a relaxed and informal lunch.”
