Lester Aldridge appoints new Clinical Negligence Partner

Leading law firm Lester Aldridge is pleased to welcome Paula Barnes, who will be joining as a partner in the Personal Injury team in January 2019.

Paula is a senior qualified solicitor and partner who brings over 25 years’ experience in clinical negligence, community care and public law to the firm.

Paula has undertaken clinical negligence claims at all levels, including catastrophic brain damage cases, including cerebral palsy and acquired brain injury and spinal injury cases. Paula has experience of dealing with claims in a variety of fields of medicine. She has been extensively involved in the management of claims in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Coroners Court. Paula has a reputation for dedication to client care and has regularly obtained large awards of compensation through negotiation, court proceedings and mediation on behalf of victims of medical accidents. Her clients are often the most vulnerable in society; the elderly, disabled and children.

In addition to her clinical negligence work, Paula also specialises in community care law and public law matters. Paula has been recognised by independent legal guides the Legal 500, Good Lawyer Guide and Chambers and Partners and is widely praised by her peers for her detailed knowledge and positive results she has achieved for clients.

She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) as well as a Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel member and examiner.
