Lighthouse Poole events listings – August 2025

School’s out and summer’s here, but there’s still plenty to see and do at Lighthouse. For the first time, this year the arts centre is hosting a summer camp for creative young people.

Wild Art Wonders, delivered with Coda Music and Arts Trust is a five-day arts activity in which 7-12 year olds will work across a range of artforms to create a collaborative, eco-conscious installation while also learning how to use creativity to care for themselves and the world around them. Workshops run daily from 10am-4pm, but there’s the option of wrapround care from 9am until 5pm.

There’s a full programme of films for the month in Poole’s only independent, town centre cinema; while the end of the months brings some truly roar-some fun in the shape of Dinosaur World Live where audiences have the chance to meet and marvel at some astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus!
