Two local businesses joined forces and gathered nearly one hundred of their clients and contacts to cheer on the England football team in their recent Euro 2024 game against Denmark.
Poole-based digital agency b4b Marketing and Bournemouth-based telecom and IT providers Town & Country Communications held the event at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium where they watched the match on the big screen, as well as enjoying a pre-match curry and drinks.
It’s an event that b4b Marketing have held a number of times before, and one which always attracts a good crowd of local clients and business contacts.
“Getting together with our clients and friends is important for us and something that we do regularly so when the Euros, or the World Cup, comes along, we never miss out on the chance to put on the screening and AFCB is the ideal venue” said organiser Hayley Baverstock, Director of b4b Marketing.
Making the event a typical footballing occasion, guests were welcomed with a beer or prosecco and then treated to a curry buffet whilst listening to the pre-match build up. They were also entertained by Town & Country Director Karl Butler who played some tunes on the decks to add to the atmosphere.
The two businesses also took the opportunity to fundraise for charity during the event with a ‘First Goal Scored’ sweepstake, which saw half of the proceeds donated to Forest Holme Hospice and half to the lucky winner.
b4b’s social media team were also on hand to capture the event and hold a Facebook Live session which saw them interview guests for their match predictions and feedback, which provoked some lively debate!
Both b4b and Town & Country have a number of clients in common. Their services, digital marketing and website development (b4b) and telecoms and IT (T&C) are relied upon by a large number of businesses across Dorset and Hampshire who were invited to join them at the event.
Pleased with the turnout and how successful the event was, b4b have vowed to repeat the occasion for the World Cup in 2026!
